You are so scared of social media crisis you can’t sleep. You want to prepare, but have no idea how? Is it even possible? Here are some tips and ideas. After reading this post you should sleep as a baby.
Crisis? Like what?
First step is to define social media crisis. For smaller brand even one or two comments can be dawastaded. For big brands even 100 negative posts can be nothing. Start with writing down your general feeling abut the topic. It will help to find a crisis if you will have one.
What can be fucked up
Write down everything, literally EVERYTHING, that your company can do badly or can go wrong. Surly you want be able to write down all possible crisis. But it surly helps to prepare for the worst. The more ideas the better.
How badly is it?
To the list of potential crisis add some scale. I usually use 3 flags: green- ok, yellow – watch out, red – you’re doomed. It doesn’t matter how you do it: using 1-5 stars, percent or any other method- just know weather your idea of a crisis can be a nasty one of not.
To be or not to be?
As you have list of small and bigger problems time to think if they are even possible. I use percent, but use whatever scale you Like- moon phase, colours or numbers. It’s just what y9u think – nobody is going to check if you’re right.
Ready – study (and steady)
Now you have a special list of potential crisis, probability of happening and how important are they. Congratulations- it’s almost finished. Now, just add some drafts of reactions.
